Welcome to Double Time Docs! We're glad you're here. This is a quick tutorial to help you get an idea of how our Daily Notes feature works. Let's get started!
1 - Create a student
Click on My Daily Notes in the main menu of the site and click to create a new student.
Fill in the requested information including the default session length and type. This will save time when creating new notes. Select which days you see the student. This will enable easy filtering of your student list later. Click Create Student and IEP to save it.
2 - Create goals for the student
Before creating your first note for a student (or any time), set up your student's goals. Visit any student IEP page by clicking the gear icon next to a student's name then clicking the pencil icon next to an IEP.
You'll see a box with your Goal Bank. Enter a goal. You can use an underscore (_) in your goal, which will be replaced by the student's name when the goal is used. Click Save and the goal will appear in the list below.
In the goals list, you'll see that any underscores you used were replaced by the student's name. Click the Copy button next to any goal, then paste it in the Create box below and save.
You can search for a goal and delete existing goals as needed.
3 - Create a blank note
Click the file icon next the student's name in your Caseload list and click Create Blank Note. Later, when you have a previous note for the student, you can duplicate it with a click and edit it for today's session.
4 - Fill in creation details
Fill in the requested info and click Create & Edit Note.
5 - Write your note
You'll see the main Daily Notes editor where you can edit the note details and enter your comments. You'll find rich text formatting options like bulleted lists, colors, headings, bold, italics, underline and more. Below, you can upload an image of the student's work and add a caption to it. These images will be included in your exported Word or Google Doc.
6 - Enter goal progress percents
For each goal, enter a progress percent for the session. A graph will automatically be created based on the student's percent progress you've entered over time.
